Scottish actor Sean Connery was born on 25 August 1930. His journey prior to gaining international fame was a long, eventful one. He joined the Royal Navy, ventured into bodybuilding, helped out backstage during stage productions, and worked as a babysitter.
He ultimately got into performing on stage and then transitioning to television by the late 1950s. In 1962, he got his breakthrough role as the title character in the first James Bond film, Dr. No. He went on to star in six more James Bond movies until 1983.
